Engineering solutions that minimise environmental impact.
Working closely with clients to deliver customised solutions.
Established in 2009, Tritec Engineering has become a trusted partner across multiple industries, including food, beverage, tobacco, mining, and quarrying.
We specialise in steel manufacturing, repair, refurbishment, and on-site maintenance services, building strong relationships with engineering firms and industrial clients.
I’m Marinus Broodryk, founder of Tritec Engineering Sales and Services CC. I started the business in 2012 after 14 years working in technical sales, plant maintenance and regional management in South Africa’s mining sector. That background shaped how I work today. I’m comfortable discussing a problem with a client, interpreting a technical drawing and getting involved in the fabrication or maintenance work needed to solve it. Tritec is an owner-managed business, and I remain hands-on with the work we deliver.
Tritec began by supplying equipment for underground mining, including conveyor components, pumps and valves. We also took on maintenance and upgrade work in the food and beverage sector. In 2018, I deliberately shifted the business to focus more closely on food, beverage, and tobacco production environments.
Today, our work includes carbon-steel and stainless-steel fabrication, repairs, refurbishment and on-site maintenance. We customise to clients’ drawings and specifications, and we also develop custom solutions when the starting point is a problem rather than a finished design. A significant part of our work involves designing and manufacturing mountings for inkjet printers, laser-coding equipment and label applicators. We also fabricate guards for moving machinery and produce components for processing plants.
No two sites or requirements are quite the same. Some clients need a part made accurately to an existing drawing. Others need us to assess what is happening on site, work through the options and make something fit for their equipment and operating environment.
I work with a small team of permanent employees and subcontractors, which allows me to stay close to the detail—from the first conversation through fabrication and installation. Our work takes us across South African provinces and includes ongoing client relationships as well as individual projects. One example of our capacity is an extensive steelwork project valued at approximately ZAR 1.2 million, delivered over four months.
I believe practical experience and continued learning go hand in hand. Alongside my earlier technical studies and pump-systems training, I have completed training in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding, a formal Boilermaker trade test, and the SAIW Welding and Fabrication Inspector Level 1 qualification. For me, these qualifications support the work—not the other way around. What matters is understanding the requirement, paying attention to the details and taking responsibility for the result.
Tritec Engineering delivers projects focused on durability, quality, and performance across multiple industries. Our work reflects our commitment to engineering excellence and practical, real-world solutions.
